It is with great sadness that we note the recent passing of IM Bob Wade at the age of 87. Bob was a regular player in the LBCL right up to the time of his death, and we will all miss this unique, kind-hearted and brilliant man, whose contribution to our game was so extraordinary.

We can, however, draw solace from the fact that Bob enjoyed a long life, and remained mentally sharp and able to play the game he loved until the end. Rest in peace, Bob.
