Round 5 results

Round 5, held on Tuesday 9th December 2008, started with a minute’s silence for IM Bob Wade of Athenaeum, who had sadly passed away since round 4. His club captain, Stephen Walsh, also said a few words in moving tribute.

Dave Chambers kindly continued his splendid Christmas tradition of bringing a bottle of whisky to round 5 for everyone to share: appropriately, he had found one produced by a distillery just a few miles from where Bob was born in New Zealand. Thanks Dave!
